Description: | As the Crane Division of Carolina Tractor, Pinnacle Cranes provides its customers with the services of multiple branches for new & used cranes, crane rentals, and crane components. This gives us the ability to add the extensive resources of CAT engines and Hydraulics Express to our already extensive knowledge of construction cranes and cranes from related industries. We are expanding into Raleigh, NC and want you to join our team as a Field Service Crane Technician!
The Field Service Crane Technician will be responsible for performing safe, responsible, professional, and quality repairs on company and customer owned equipment as assigned by the Service Manager and Service Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform trouble shooting and repairs on customer’s machines as needed and do all levels of PM’s as required.
· Install, replace, re-build or repair the parts and/or equipment in a timely manner and according to manufactures’ specifications.
· Test the part or equipment and perform quality check after work is complete.
· Complete scheduled maintenance on customer equipment as assigned.
· Complete all required paperwork after every job.
· Help expand customer base in location.
POSITION REQURIEMENTS:
· A general knowledge of crane fundamentals and operations is a must. This includes crawler, hydraulic truck and rough terrain cranes and boom/bucket truck repairs.
· Extensive knowledge of standard hydraulics and electrical systems, including can bus electrical systems along with pneumatics/air brake systems. Must be strong in hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting, which includes the ability to read, understand all hydraulic and electrical schematics as supplied by the manufacturers.
· An individual should have basic welding and cutting torch skills.
· Possess a clear, valid driver’s license. A CDL is not mandatory, but a Class B air brake license is required on Field Technicians assigned to vehicles above 25,999 lb. weight class.
